Does no one realize the collusion: CBC, govt and print press?
The latest from the British Columbia Government carried by the Times Colonist Newspaper and CBC demonstrates the utter failure of these news outlets to inform and tell the truth.
CBC reports —‘British Columbia announced 717 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday — the highest daily case count since May 7 when the number was 722.’
Times Colonist reports—-‘B.C. reported 717 new cases of COVID-19 on Friday, a number not seen since early May. Forty cases were in Island Health.’
Reporting cases from the Government without telling the people that these cases arise from PCR tests that are unreliable is nothing short of untruthful and deliberately hiding the facts. The Times Colonist Knows and the CBC KNOWS that multiple studies have demonstrated this fact.
The Swiss Policy Research lists some of the problems with PCR tests
There can be large-scale test kit contamination, as both the US and the UK (and several African countries) discovered during the early phase of the pandemic.
There can be testing site or lab contamination, which has led to countless false positive results, school closures, nursing home quarantines, canceled sports events, and more.
The PCR test can react to other coronaviruses. According to lab examinations, this happens in about 1% to 3% of cases if only one target gene is tested, as is the case in many (but not all) labs and as the WHO itself has recommended to avoid ambiguous positive/negative test results.
The PCR test can detect non-infectious virus fragments weeks after an active infection, or from an infection of a contact person, as the US CDC confirmed.
The PCR test can detect viable virus in quantities too small to be infectious (see below).
Studies show as Swiss Policy report that ”if a person gets a “positive” PCR test result at a cycle threshold of 35 or higher (as applied in most US labs and many European labs), the chance that the person is infectious is less than 3%. The chance that the person received a “false positive” result is 97% or higher.’
And BC uses a cycle threshold of 35 to 40. So we are looking in BC at less than 3% of those cases being infectious.!!!!
So 717 becomes 21 !!!!
Govt, the print and electronic press are denying the people of all the information.
This is not democracy!

It's easy for politicians, they can spend what they want because somebody else will pay for it – the taxpayers.
Well done Merv & Marg
Nanaimo is still a good place, but the powers that be have let it run to ruin. This is sad to see.
i agree it is the volunteers in Nanaimo that make it such a wonderful place to live. I've lived all over B. C. and came back to Nanaimo to raise my kids and join the family business. Never any regret
Thank you Mr. Peckford for voicing concerns that many Canadians share, but remain silent.
