Vaccines will only reduce the severity and death
We were told for months to just wait till we get the vaccine. Leaving the distinct impression that the vaccine would eliminate the virus. People like me and many others were pilloried for saying this might not solve the problem. You know these are experimental drugs etc. Well, well, well.
Now we learn that here in B.C. there are Wuhan virus out breaks in homes where 82 per cent of the residents had been vaccinated. One home in Surrey and one in Kelowna, according to the Times Colonist.
“Fraser Health said Tuesday that one resident and one staff member tested positive for COVID-19 at Fleetwood Place, a long-term care facility in Surrey where 88 per cent of residents had been vaccinated.”
‘The outbreak followed one declared Sunday at the Cottonwoods Care Centre in Kelowna, where 11 residents and two staff members tested positive despite 82 per cent of residents being immunized.’
Now we hear Dr. Henry say: “Some of the cases at the Kelowna care home are in people who received two doses of the vaccine”, she said earlier this week.’
Wow! So all this about just wait till we get the vaccine has been a little over blown, one might say.
Now the narrative is: “Henry said vaccines are effective at preventing severe illness and death, but they don't necessarily stop all transmission, so masks and physical distancing remain important.”
The tune has changed.
And as far as mask go, we have 541 news cases this past day and everyone is wearing masks that I can see. There are mountains of evidence that say everyday mask wearing is ineffective. The mask do not stop the very small particles. Reputable Studies from Denmark, Japan, the U.S. have shown that mask are ineffective.
Here are a sample of four:
- A May 2020 meta-study on pandemic influenza published by the U.S. CDC found that face masks had no effect, neither as personal protective equipment nor as a source control.(Source)
- A Danish randomized controlled trial with 6,000 participants, published in the Annals of Internal Medicine in November, 2020, found no statistically significant effect of high-quality medical face masks against SARS-CoV-2 infection in a community setting. (Source)
- A February, 2021 review by the European CDC found no significant evidence supporting the effectiveness of non-medical and medical face masks in the community. Furthermore, the European CDC advises against the use of FFP2/N95 respirators by the general public. (Source)
- A July 2020 review by the Oxford Centre for Evidence-Based Medicine found that there is no evidence for the effectiveness of cloth masks against virus infection or transmission.
Now the mantra is: “Horacio Bach, a University of British Columbia infectious diseases expert, said older people's immune systems may take longer than three weeks to produce antibodies or may not produce them at all.
Bach said no vaccine prevents illness 100 per cent of the time, but the COVID-19 shots have been proven to be safe and very effective against serious illness and hospitalization.”
As many of us said all along, helpful, likely, cure, not likely.
And how long will lives be uprooted with questionable measures, many of which were instituted with little meaningful evidence and where constitutional liberties were violated.

It's easy for politicians, they can spend what they want because somebody else will pay for it – the taxpayers.
Well done Merv & Marg
Nanaimo is still a good place, but the powers that be have let it run to ruin. This is sad to see.
i agree it is the volunteers in Nanaimo that make it such a wonderful place to live. I've lived all over B. C. and came back to Nanaimo to raise my kids and join the family business. Never any regret
Thank you Mr. Peckford for voicing concerns that many Canadians share, but remain silent.
