There is no evidence that closures and isolation have affected virus spread because the efforts are not effective. Until recently, we did not seriously try to stem international travel at our borders. We still allow travellers to travel cross-country to isolate at home, potentially infecting people as they travel and still leave holes open for ‘essential travel.’ Isolation exempts million of essential workers.
There has been concern over COVID deaths, but the rise in numbers has been consistent with the increase in numbers infected. The mortality rate is about 2.5% of people found to be infected.

It's easy for politicians, they can spend what they want because somebody else will pay for it – the taxpayers.

Nanaimo is still a good place, but the powers that be have let it run to ruin. This is sad to see.
i agree it is the volunteers in Nanaimo that make it such a wonderful place to live. I've lived all over B. C. and came back to Nanaimo to raise my kids and join the family business. Never any regret
